IWC Critique Groups

Critique groups are a great way to get feedback and grow in a small group setting. We currently offer a variety of Special Interest groups. Attendance is free for members and $5/per meeting for non-members. If you wish to join a group listed below, please contact the group leader to verify their current schedule.

Poetry Salon

Poetry Salon meets 7-9 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month to share and discuss poems written by participants. Other aspects of poetry and poetry business will also be addressed. IWC members may attend for free, non-members are asked to contribute a $5 donation.

Famous Writers’ Club

This writers’ group focuses on the exploration of beginning writers with an emphasis on reading to each other and writing together. It meets on the first and third Fridays of the month at 10 a.m-12 p.m. at the new IWC building. To join, please contact Lorna Rose at

The Fiction Group

The Fiction group meets at the IWC on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at 7pm.  For more info on joining this group, please contact the IWC at 317-255-0710.
